The Houston real estate market is, unlike the rest of the country, is doing extremely well and is beatings it's own record every year. Just take a look at my home page and scroll down to see the latest Houston real estate reports. With that said, Houston has not had the kind of market that many parts of the country have experienced recently where there are multile offers the moment a sign is put in the yard and a home is listed in the MLS. Those parts of the country are the ones that are now complaining of a slump or "bubble". Not the case here in Houston. The normal amount of time for a home in Houston to sell is about 90 days IF the home is priced correctly. It also depends on the area of town and it really does take a professional to price correctly and assess the recent solds in the area. A home that sold down the street may have sold quickly but perhaps it had amazing upgrades that set it apart, or another other reason that only a real estate agent would be privvy to find that information.
